The Mareeba SHS Parents and Citizens’ Association is the peak parent body which represents the interests of parents and community at Mareeba State High School.
What does the Mareeba SHS Parents and Citizens’ Association do?
The Mareeba SHS Parents and Citizens’ Association meets on the second Wednesday of each month at 5:30 pm in Administration Block Common Room at the school. The primary role of the P&C Association is to improve the school environment by undertaking projects which may otherwise remain unfunded and additionally to provide financial and volunteer support to students for the betterment of the school community. The majority of P&C Association funding is obtained through the operation of our Canteen (tuckshop) “Healthy Habits” and volunteers are always welcome.
In addition to its primary role, Mareeba SHS Parents and Citizens’ Association provides a travel subsidy for students involved in sporting, academic or cultural activities in a representative capacity.
Students are encouraged to apply by filling out the
P&C Travel Subsidy form and submitting it to the P&C via email at
pandc@mareebashs.eq.edu.au OR alternatively, by dropping off the completed form to the school administration office.
